Elm fork education center Saturday science fairs
Elm Fork Education Center would like to invite local families and Scouts to our Saturday Science Fairs for opportunities to have fun learning and using STEM (science/technology/engineering/mathematics) skills that may earn belt loops, badges, and try-its!
Saturday Science Fairs are designed for your entire family or group to learn through exciting hands-on activities. Each fair is themed and incorporates resources found on the campus of the University of North Texas and within the DFW metroplex area. All fairs include associated activities, demonstrations, refreshments, and a show at the UNT Sky Theater!
All fairs will be held at the Elm Fork Education Center in the EESAT Building located on the UNT campus, 1704 W. Mulberry St., Denton, TX.
Cost is $7 per student/scout ages 5-18. Children under age 5, parents/leaders/chaperones are FREE. There will be a $1 discount for those bringing along a donation of a non-perishable food item for the Denton Community Food Center.
Pre-registration by email is recommended for all fairs. Please include how many may be in your group, ages, and scout troop number if applicable. Also please include a contact name, telephone number, and email address.

Earth building and tearing down processes are going on all around us all the time. Rocks, minerals, soils, and all the things done and found there are open game. Bring along your favorite rock or fossil and we just might get it identified!

From inside our solar system to points beyond, come join us on an adventure that will take you out of this world. Planets, meteors, asteroids, moons, stars, and exoplanets will be just the beginning…3, 2, 1, BLAST OFF!

After School Science Club Days
Bring your group, troop, or family and join us for some hands-on science fun! Choose a prepared theme, or we can customize a program for your group's particular interests or needs. Each Science Club Day program is by appointment only and lasts 2 hours.
Cost: $50 for up to 10 participants (5 minimum), $3 for each additional participant up to a maximum of 20 total
Fee includes: Science Club Mentor, themed activities and materials, small snack for each participant, 2 UNT visitor parking passes good at the visitor parking spaces in lot 11 to the west of the EESAT building where the Elm Fork Education Center is located.
