Trick or treat for glasses - Month of October
​This Halloween Trick or Treat for glasses and give someone the gift of sight. Help the Lion's Club by collecting used prescription and non prescription glasses. Click here for fliers, more information and ordering of the patch.

Donation Collection Period September 18 - Oct 14
​Collect 2 kitchen bag sized full of items for donations, drop off. Email donation receipt to jhurley@gs-top.com. After watching a short video you will earn a patch. See flier for more details.
Teen mentoring program aide & volunteer in training - oct 7, 2017
Where: Southlake Office
​When Girls guide or teach others, they act as mentors. Teen mentoring is a win-win proposition! One way a girl can be a teen mentor is to become a Program Aide (PA) or a Volunteer in Training (VIT) to deepen her understanding of what leadership means and get excited about guiding others. While learning to be a champion mentor, girls deliver FUN with purpose to younger Girl Scouts. 
​Note: Before girls attend the Program Aide course, they must have earned the Leader-in-Action (LiA) award.
​Note: Before girls attend the Volunteer in Training course, they must have mentored with a younger troop for 3-6 month period.
​Bronze and silver award workshops OCT. 28, 2017
​Location: Fort Worth Office
​The highest awards in Girl Scouting are named after precious metals. Juniors earn the Bronze Award and Cadettes earn the Silver Award. The workshop reviews Girl Scout USA guidelines for each award. Both girls and leaders are encouraged to attend the workshop, which will include topics on how to lead girls through the requirements, building a timeline, selecting projects and the required paperwork.

​When Girls guide or teach others, they act as mentors. Teen mentoring is a win-win proposition! One way a girl can be a teen mentor is to become a Program Aide (PA) or a Volunteer in Training (VIT) to deepen her understanding of what leadership means and get excited about guiding others.
